Special BCYC Board Meeting

There will be a Special Board Meeting on Monday, 9th October 2017 at 6:30pm to discuss the topic of purchasing three used "420" sailboats, at the cost of $1000 each. The Sea Scouts want to buy these boats and have requested the club to give/loan them the $3000 so they can buy them now. The Scouts will repay the club. Another aspect is that there is some feeling that the club itself may want to buy and own the boats. Either way, while the Scouts would have priority use for events and practice, club members would be able to use the boats when the Scouts did not need them, much as we have shared the Catalinas all these years. The Board will consider and decide which of these proposals we should do, or nothing at all.
