Come one come all,

This cold front is supposed to move on out and pretty good weather come on in for next weekend. So the February make up cruise is to our "sister club", Tampa Sailing Squadron, on February 13th & 14th.

They are holding their Gasparilla Regatta this weekend, and the best part is that our band the Scallywags will be playing at the party. The dinner will be a roasted pig with all the fixings. The dinner tickets are $14.00 and include draft beer. There will be a rum bar to raise money for their youth sailing program, too. Suggested donation is only $1.00 per drink to help the kids. So Drink up! Mount Gay rum will be on hand since I believe they are the sponsors for the regatta.

To help them out - and to be part of the fun - you need to go online and register/pay for your dinner(s) so they have a good idea of how much food to make/serve. Since they do have a regatta going on, their dock space is pretty well used up. So we will be doing some rafting or possibility anchoring out in the basin.If you feel you really need to be docked, right next door is the Lands End Marina with plenty of transient dock-age space. They charge $2.00 per foot and you can call them at 813-645-5594.

If you decide you would like to be part of the racing, the entrance fee is $50.00 which includes a Coveted Mount Gay rum hat, Shirt and a dinner ticket. However, first flag is at 10:00am so you may need to get there on Friday.

So come on out and show our sister club how much we support them - and our band! Sign up here too so we know how many of us are going!
