Notice of Race
1. RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). If there is a conflict between the RRS and the Sailing Instructions (SI’s), the SI’s will take precedence.
1.2 Each competitor shall sail in accordance with class rules and format.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1 The regatta is open to all-female-crewed sailboats with current PHRF rating. Boats without current PHRF will be assigned one by the Race Committee.
2.2 Eligible boats must register on line at www.sailbcyc.org, follow the link to Women’s Challenge Regatta. Payment may be made during the registration process or by mailing a check to BCYC, 4600 Tifton Drive South, Gulfport Florida 33711; attention Women’s Challenge Regatta.
2.3 Registration and all payments must be received no later than May 5th, 2015.
2.4 Registration information required: Boat owner’s name, e-mail address and phone number; Name of boat, design, length, sail number and PHRF rating (if available); Skipper’s name, e-mail address and phone number; Home club; Number of expected crew to be on board; Division: Man on board/coached, Man on board/not coached, All Female Crew.
2.5 Entrants will be required to complete a liability release form available at Check-In. For convince a PDF version of the form can be printed from the website.
3. CLASSES
3.1 Monohull Non Spinnaker Three Divisions: Man on board /Coached Man on board / Not Coached All Female Skipper and Crew
3.2 Final divisions will be determined based on the number of entries received by May 5th, 2015.
4. FEE
$35.00 per boat
5. SCHEDULE

6. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing instructions will be available at Check-In.
7. VENUE
7.1 The regatta will take place in beautiful Boca Ciega Bay.
8. SCORING
8.1 One race constitutes a regatta. Low point scoring system will be used.
9. COURSE
9.1 The course will be set southwest of the club.
9.2 Every effort will be made to design a competitive course.
10. BERTHING AND LAUNCHING
10.1 T-docks and dry / wet slips may be available. Use of the club ramp is permitted. The hoist is not available to non-club members. Arrangements will be coordinated with the Club Fleet Captain.
10.2 Transient slips can be reserved at The City of Gulfport Marina.
11. RADIO COMMUNICATIONS
11.1 All boats must have a VHF radio capable of transmitting and receiving.
11.2 Regatta transmissions will be on VHF Channel 72.
12. PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded first through third for divisions raced.
13. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRs 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
