BCYC sponsors an active racing program with something for everyone.

Our regular racing program consists of a separate Spring and Fall series for PHRF rated sailboats. Awards are given for each series. The fleet is divided into tow classes, RACING and CRUISING. All boats are limited to one headsail.

Awards include first through third trophies in each class in each of the two series. Trophies are also awarded for special events such as Race Cruises, Couples race, and the Gaboon Race, and to the year’s most improved sailor.

Club racing is the best way to improve sailing skills and boat ownership is not necessary. New members are encouraged to come to the club on race Sunday to crew and meet other members. BCYC is a member of both the FSA and USYRU.
